Finally! The past few weeks have been very hectic, due to logistics, schedule conflicts and financial set backs my tour was basically cancelled 3 weeks ago. Call it Karma, call it hard work, call it luck, but with the help of my soul brother (fellow musician) Jason Frilot, I’m happy to announce that I’ll be on a two week run starting August 17th in Spring Hill, Florida!!! I’ll be playing 3 shows in Florida with (FREELOW) Jason’s band and then we’re taking the whole crew back to New Orleans for a show on August 21st at Bourbon Heat, right smack in the middle of Bourbon Street! I rarely play shows in New Orleans so this will be a special night for me. After NOLA, I take my “solo” show to “Jackson,MS” – “Memphis,TN” – “Marion,IL” and then end the tour with a 3 night run in “St. Louis,MO”! I know I say this all the time, but I am truly blessed. When I was 9 years I was lucky enough to land a gig with a choir and we toured all over the world. We sang in the White House on Christmas Eve, we sang the National Anthem in Shea Stadium, we toured in a bus all over America, we even flew to Rome and performed for Pope John Paul II !!! I realized then, the music had chosen me and that I should never take it for granted. I work extremely hard to write my songs, record my songs, burn my own CD’s, book all of my own shows, drive to the shows, set up my own gear and of course, perform the shows. As a solo performer, it’s so rewarding to accomplish this and live my dream on my own terms. I’m saving money now to eventually purchase an RV/BUS that Starr and I will live in and tour the country and play music on the road til the day I die. I don’t plan on doing anything else. I also took a break from playing festivals this year, I turned down over 15 offers to play at different festivals because I did so many in 2011 that I realized I’d much prefer to play 3-4 hours a night then 30 minutes. Music is like sex, I just can’t get off in 30 minutes, I’d rather go all night, ya heard me? I’ll have copies of my new CD “DEMOS and DEMONS” with me on this tour. We sold out of the first 300 in just 4 days last tour and I only have 700 left and once those are gone, thats it. I’m not releasing the CD on itunes or anywhere else, so if you want one, email me with a sweet message and I’ll send you one or you’ll just have to come to a show. Thank You all for supporting me, I honestly get tears in my eyes when somebody walks into a show and knows all the words to my songs. Just last tour in Marion,IL I had a guy come up to me and say “Your album Jukebox Gypsy changed my life bro, the song Automatic Dream got me thru the hardest time in my life”. You see, that’s what it’s all about, that’s why I feel blessed, the music chose me and I’m so very grateful that I accepted : ) See You out there-Sean
